In parts1,2 and 3 of our series Globalization in the time of Corona, we covered the negative impacts of safety and supply, during this global pandemic. There is much more, however, to the story of COVID-19, and in Part 4 we will focus directly on the origins of the SARS CoV-2 virus.

8:0    The indisputable facts: 

In this article we establish the following indisputable facts 

• A SARS type virus with ‘gain of function’ capability was created in 2015 in a laboratory research project, conducted between the North Carolina University and the Wuhan Institute of Virology
• The Wuhan Institute of Virology BSL4 laboratory is a World Health Organisation (WHO) designated research facility.
• COVID-19 is the disease caused by the SARS CoV-2 virus which originated in Wuhan, China and caused this global pandemic
• After being advised of COVID-19 cases in the 2^nd week of December 2019, by Drs. Ai Fen and Li Wenliang, the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) deliberately withheld this information from the world
• China consistently claimed for 45 days after the first known case of community spread, that the virus could not spread human-to-human
• China closed internal borders but allowed ‘weaponized but unsuspecting’ infected people to travel from Wuhan to all corners of the globe
• Earlier disclosure from China would have prevented many infections and deaths worldwide
• The World Health Organization praised China’s ‘containment efforts’ while the virus was spreading across the globe
• The World Health Organization criticized countries who closed their borders then later classified COVID-19 as a pandemic
• Several nations have independently started legal action against China for reparation

We also find allegations that suggest COVID-19 is a ‘laboratory-derived’ virus and the Wuhan Institute of Virology could be a biochemical warfare facility.

 8:1    What is COVID-19?

Coronaviruses are widely accepted to have originated from bats and many outbreaks have occurred in the last 20 years including the 2003 Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome (SARS-Cov) and 2012 Middle East Respiratory Syndrome (MERS-Cov).

COVID-19 was originally called “2019 novel coronavirus” (or new coronavirus) until it was officially named SARS-Cov-2 by the International Committee on Taxonomy of Viruses.

SARS-Cov-2 stands for Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome-Coronavirus-2.

 The World Health Organisation (W.H.O.) named the pandemic COVID-19.  SARS-Cov-2 (the species of virus) gives you COVID-19 (the disease/illness).

 But why did the W.H.O. avoid using the name SARS-Cov-2?  In their own words:

“Using the name SARS can have unintended consequences in terms of creating unnecessary fear for some populations, especially in Asia which was worst affected by the SARS outbreak in 2003. For that reason and others, WHO has begun referring to the virus as “the virus responsible for COVID-19” or “the COVID-19 virus” when communicating with the public.” [1]

Quite simply – The W.H.O. does not want to offend President Xi Jinping and it has gone to great lengths to defend, praise and support the Chinese Communist Party’s (CCP) version of events in a prejudiced and complicit manner.

8:2    Where did China claim the SARS-Cov-2 (COVID-19) outbreak emerged?

China publicly recognized the first victims of the virus occurred on 12^th December 2019 in Wuhan, Hubei Province, China, however other sources claim earlier cases occurred in November 2019

The Wuhan Institute of Virology (W.I.V.), at the direction of the China Communist Party (CCP), undertook a study published on 20^th January 2020 entitled, “A pneumonia outbreak associated with a new coronavirus of probable bat origin”[2].

A team leader & co-author of this study is Zheng-Li Shi, a Wuhan-based virologist known as the “bat woman”. [3].  More on Zheng-Li Shi later.

The W.I.V. article claims that the SARS-Cov-2 outbreak first emerged from the local Huanan Seafood Market in Wuhan, despite not selling bats.  Co-incidentally, the seafood market is very close to the Wuhan Institute of Virology BSL4 laboratory.  More on this claim later.

The article further says that “samples of gnome sequences taken from 5 patients on 12^th December 2019 have a 79.6% shared identity with the 2003 SARS-Cov”.

Note:- A biosafety level (BSL), or Pathogen/Protection level, is a set of bio-containment precautions required to isolate dangerous biological agents in an enclosed laboratory facility.  The levels of containment range from the lowest biosafety level 1 (BSL-1) to the highest at level 4 (BSL-4).

8:3 How did China react after the SARS-Cov-2 outbreak in Wuhan?

In a word – BADLY!  China  covered  up the coronavirus outbreak even while the crisis was escalating. Not only did China cover up the highly infectious and dangerous nature of COVID-19, it allowed ‘weaponized but unsuspecting’  infected Chinese nationals to travel internationally spreading the virus around the globe.

“Just as the WHO recommended AGAINST travel restrictions, the US (and Australia) rushed in the opposite direction,” (the offended) Chinese foreign ministry spokeswoman Hua Chunying said. “[It is] certainly not a gesture of goodwill. (4) “

Then on the 1^st February 2020, WHO Chief Dr Tedros said:

“Travel restrictions can cause more harm than good by hindering info-sharing, medical supply chains and harming economies.”  

The WHO recommended introducing screening at official border crossings and warned that closing borders

“could accelerate the spread of the virus, with travellers entering countries unofficially”. (5) 

This comment was further followed on 3^rd March, by another statement by Dr Tedros;

” Stigma, to be honest, is more dangerous than the virus itself.  Let’s really underline that. Stigma is the most dangerous enemy,”

(Clearly a political- not health, statement)

….and then again on the 8^th April in response to criticism levelled at the WHO;

“My short message is, please quarantine POLITICIZING COVID.” (6)

Many sources report that the Wuhan doctors Ai Fen & Li Wenliang were the first to alert other medics to the spread of coronavirus. Ai Fen faced ‘unprecedented, extremely harsh reprimand’ by officials at Wuhan Central Hospital and Li Wenliang was reprimanded by authorities for ‘illegally spreading untruthful information online’. [7] [8]

Dr Ai Fen has now disappeared sparking concerns that she has been detained, and Dr. Li Wenliang has been reported as dying of SARS-Cov-2 infection.

This video from Gravitas tells the whistle blower story and the initial China suppression & cover-up.[9]

Ian Jones, Professor of Biomedical Sciences at Reading University, said, “There was an early cover up in Wuhan, perhaps a few days to a week, before the threat was accepted. We will never know if faster action in those first days could have averted the outbreak,”. [10]

Other sources and modelling have shown that early advice of the pandemic would have stopped 95% of COVID-19 cases. Unfortunately, both China and the WHO stopped short of allowing the world adequate time to prepare for such a pandemic.  Social distancing has since proven highly effective in stemming the spread, however earlier open borders allowed the virus to spread to all corners of the globe. Alarmingly, China locked down Hubei Province from the rest of China, BUT not the rest of the world, while thousands of Chinese travelled across the globe either as tourists, students or workers under the guise of ‘free trade agreements’ and Belt & Road Initiatives (BRI).

This was disastrous for countries like Italy that quickly became the global infection epicentre outside of Hubei Province in China.  But strikingly, infections in other Chinese provinces were almost non-existent.

What followed was an explosion of infections across the globe and as of 10^th April 2020 there was 1,604,718  infections and 97,735 deaths across 209 countries & territories.

‘GLOBALIZATION’ was the infection highway of the world.

Our conclusion:

Based on the body of credible evidence, China was morally bankrupt and criminally culpable, in initially attempting to cover up the SARS Cov-2 outbreak  when early warnings to the world could have saved many thousands of lives and livelihoods, and prevented the ensuing global economic collapse. 

8:4 Did SARS-Cov-2 really emerge from a Wuhan seafood market? 

China and The Wuhan Institute of Virology have claimed that the SARS-Cov-2 outbreak emerged from the local Huanan Seafood Market in Wuhan, and that it was not human to human infection. (2)

Many credible people (and organisations) like Professor Boyle and The Epoch Times challenge the China version of where the virus initially emerged.  They also challenge the probity, intentions and transparency of China & the Wuhan Institute of Virology, in reporting the source of SARS-Cov-2 as the Huanan Seafood Market. (12)

Here’s why: –

The Lancet published a study dated 24^th January 2020 of the 41 patients admitted to Wuhan Jinyintan Hospital prior to 2^nd January 2020 who had laboratory-confirmed 2019-nCoV infection.  But only 27 (66%) of the 41 patients had been exposed to the Huanan Seafood Market i.e. 14 were infected from outside the market at this early stage of outbreak.[13]

Similarly, a New England Journal study of 425 people with onset before January 1, 2020, showed only 55% were linked to the Huanan Seafood Wholesale Market.  i.e. 190 cases were infected outside the market at this early stage of outbreak. [14]

The Epoch Times which is a multi-language newspaper founded in 2000 by John Tang and a group of Chinese Americans associated with the Falun Gong spiritual movement, has produced a video entitled

“Tracking down the origins of Wuhan coronavirus”.  The first 9min37secs deals with source of SARS-Cov-2 in Wuhan and refers to both The Lancet & New England Journal studies. [15]

If the data in these 2 studies is correct (and there’s no reason to believe it’s not), the first infection would have been in November 2019 allowing for time lag from infection to symptoms.

Dr Daniel Lucey, Epidemiologist from the University of Georgia concluded in the video that: –

 “The virus came into the Huanan Seafood Market BEFORE it came out”. 

The Epoch Times also discloses that to satisfy a patient being classified as a SARS-Cov-2 case, patient diagnostic criteria were set by an ‘expert group’ from the National Health Commission of the PRC (People’s Republic of China).  The criteria that applied until 18^th January 2020 are confirmed in the New England Journal study “Early Transmission Dynamics in Wuhan” dated 29^th January 2020. [14]

The criteria set by this ‘expert group’ were: –

1. A history of contact with Huanan Seafood Market.
2. A fever
3. A radiographic evidence of pneumonia.
4. A low or normal white cell count or low lymphocyte count

An obvious question needs asking – Why would the criterion of “a history of contact with the Huanan Seafood Market” be specified when it was already known that many cases had NO contact with the seafood market?   An obvious answer would be to skew the data and cover up the REAL source of the outbreak.

Our conclusion:

The CCP version that the SARS-Cov-2 originated from the Huanan Seafood Market and was not human to human infectious, is highly unlikely and the likely REAL source of the initial infections have been COVERED UP by the Chinese Communist Party using skewed data. 

8:5 What is the likely source of the initial infections? 

Professor Francis Boyle who drafted the US domestic legislation for the Biological Weapons Convention, known as the Biological Weapons Anti-Terrorism Act of 1989, that was approved unanimously by both Houses of the US Congress and signed into law by President George H. W. Bush, AGREES that China deliberately covered up the source and pathogenicity of the SARS CoV-2 (COVID-19) virus.

Professor Boyle points out in the referenced video, that engineered coronaviruses with ‘gain of function’ (GOF) have leaked twice previously from the Wuhan Institute of Virology .  ‘Gain of function’ meaning enhanced human emergence and infection.[12]

In 2014, due to the ‘biosafety and biosecurity’ risks associated with ‘gain of function’ experiments using live viruses to enhance the pathogenicity or increased transmissibility among mammals by respiratory droplets, the Obama Administration PAUSED federal funding.

However, as a result of SARS-Cov epidemic in 2003, the prior withdrawal of funding by the Obama Administration was overturned, and in 2015, the University of North Carolina undertook co-funded research  and scientific collaboration with China & Zheng-Li Shi from the Wuhan Institute of Virology  (remember her from earlier). 

The research paper entitled “A SARS-like cluster of circulating bat coronaviruses shows potential for human emergence” from the study, was released on 9^th November 2015, and backs up Professor Boyle’s assertions with regards a ‘gain-of-function’ laboratory created SARS-Cov with novel spike protein [16].

1. “To examine the emergence potential (that is, the potential to infect humans), WE BUILT a chimeric (combination of viruses from different sources) virus, encoding a novel (new) zoonotic(infectious disease that can jump from animal to humans) Cov spike protein that was isolated from Chinese horseshoe bats. This hybrid virus allowed US to evaluate the ability of this novel (new) virus to cause disease independently of other necessary adaptive mutations in nature”.  The results indicate that encoding the spike protein in group 2b viruses can EFFICIENTLY use the Human Angiotensin Enzyme (ACE-2) to replicate efficiently in primary human airway cells and achieve in vitro titers (laboratory tests isolated from usual biological surrounding), EQUIVALENT TO EPIDEMIC STRAINS OF SARS-Cov”. (Our emphasis) 

2. “Additionally in vivo experiments (tests on whole, living organisms or cells, but usually live animals), demonstrate replication of the virus in mouse lung with NOTABLE pathogenesis (leading to disease)”. 

3. “Evaluation of available SARS based therapeutics(treatments) – both monoclonal antibody & vaccine approaches FAILED to neutralize and protect from infection with the Covs built with the novel spike protein” 

In 2010 the CSIRO’s Australian Animal Health Laboratory, Geelong conducted co-funded research collaboration with the Wuhan Institute of Virology, Chinese Academy of Sciences- into the coronavirus named ‘Hendra Virus’ and wrote an article of the research findings. Zhengli Shi from the Wuhan Institute of Virology was also a team member in this study). [18]

Furthermore, Molecular Biologist and Former Director of Laboratory of Antiviral Mechanisms NCI, Judy Mikovits PhD says; “The 100% Amino Acids similarity in the SARS Cov-2 virus (COVID-19 pandemic) cannot be a natural mutation. It most certainly is a recombination event, that is laboratory driven” (i.e. man-made)” at the 12min 38secs mark of the Epoch Times video “Tracking Down The origin of the Wuhan coronavirus” [15]. 

 Our conclusions: 

1. As claimed by Professor Boyle;

• The University of North Carolina DID conduct collaborative studies with China/Wuhan Institute of Virology,
• DID build/engineer a SARS-Cov virus with a novel (new) spike protein,
• DID conduct in vitro and in vivo tests that demonstrated “gain of function” for human infection and pathogenesis, and
• DID show that current treatments for SARS infections FAILED to neutralize & protect from infections with the SARS-Cov built novel spike virus, MAKING IT HIGHLY DANGEROUS TO HUMANITY! 

2. Molecular Biologist, Judy Mikovits PhD claimed that the virus the SARS-Cov-2 (COVID-19) was not a natural mutation but was laboratory built. 

Seemingly this study and work was conducted in the secure BSL4 rated facility with the objective of looking for future mutation risks to human infection & disease, treatments and/or vaccines. 

But obvious questions remain:

• What happened to the 2015 built/engineered SARS virus with the built novel (new) spike protein resulting from the collaborative research at North Carolina University with China’s Wuhan Institute of Virology?

• Was the novel SARS CoV-2 virus (created in the U.S. research project) taken back to or replicated in the laboratory at Wuhan Institute of Virology, using the same processes discovered during the 2015 research? Remember Zhengli Shi, a worldwide authority on bat viruses, (often referred to as the ‘bat lady’) was a team member of this research project and works at the Wuhan Institute of Virology. 

Since the outbreak of SARS-Cov-2 (COVID-19) in Wuhan, research in the United States has shown that the virus’s novel spike protein is the “key” for efficient entry into human cells.

The “keyhole” to the host cell receptor (human in this case) is a human protein called angiotensin converting enzyme 2 (ACE2).  ACE2 is the same keyhole that SARS-Cov used. (17)

Disturbingly, the researchers found that SARS-Cov-2 binds to ACE2 with much higher affinity (10-20 times higher!) than SARS-Cov.

In layman terms, SARS-Cov-2 (COVID-19)’s spike protein key is a lot “stickier” than the 2003 SARS-Cov spike protein. It’s like a SARS-Cov virus covered in superglue resulting in a “gain of function” or “heightened infectious rate” for humans” as also referred to by Professor Boyle.

Both Professor Boyle & The Epoch Times and others raise the prospect that SARS-Cov- novel spike protein from the University of North Carolina may have found its way back to the Wuhan Institute of Virology (or replicated there) and been leaked during further research.  [12], [15]

They also both speculate that the BSL4 facility in Wuhan is used for developing biochemical weapons, albeit without any substantive evidence.

Also remember, Molecular Biologist and Former Director of Laboratory of Antiviral Mechanisms NCI, Judy Mikovits PhD says;

“The 100% Amino Acids similarity in the SARS Cov-2 virus (COVID-19 pandemic) cannot be a natural mutation. It most certainly is a recombination event, that is laboratory driven” (i.e. man-made).” 

Our conclusions:  

It is possible, that the jump from SARS-Cov to SARS-Cov-2 (COVID-19) is NOT a natural mutation, but ‘laboratory driven’ (as contended by Molecular Biologist and Former Director of Laboratory of Antiviral Mechanisms NCI, Judy Mikovits PhD.) 

That the birthplace of SARS-Cov-2 may have originally been in the laboratory at North Carolina University from the collaborated research with Chinese virologists in 2015, then found its way to China, or was replicated in China, at the Wuhan Institute of Virology. 

Given that the seafood market outbreak has been discredited as the original source of the SARS-Cov-2 (COVID-19) outbreak, that the CCP delayed global notification & attempted a cover up and evidence that the outbreak occurred before the Huanan seafood market linked cases, we further conclude that SARS-Cov-2 likely emerged from a different place and that the Wuhan Institute of Virology or similar facility in Wuhan, China is the likely source.[19]

Regardless of whether the suspected ‘leak’ from the Wuhan Institute of Virology was accidental or deliberate, the outcome remains the same; a global pandemic originating in China, highly likely not of natural mutation and covered up by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP).  

8: 6 Actions required 

The RELATIONSHIP between Australia and China must be RESET to ensure Australia’s national security and safety in times of global turmoil and crisis. 

China MUST BE HELD ACCOUNTABLE, and impacted countries across the world seek reparation for the lives lost and collapsed economies 

The World Health Organization which has proven itself to be CORRUPT, should be DE-FUNDED by impacted nations – including Australia. 

 Australia should join an International Treaty to seize Chinese-owned assets in impacted nations to offset the economic damage caused by China’s COVID-19 pandemic as REPARATION. 

In Part 5 we will expand on these actions, reflect on how Australia arrived at the point of China- dependency, which politicians and political parties were influenced by China, and details of the International Treaty for Reparation proposed by Emeritus Professor David Flint.
